Privacy Policy
In short: the Dadacorn app sends nothing about you to us. It has no accounts, no ads and no in-app analytics. Your devices talk only to each other, and what they share stays at your table. This website uses Google Analytics only if you agree to it.
Who we are
Dadacorn, the app and this website (dadacorn.app), is published by Dadacorn LLC ("we", "us"). Questions about this policy go to support@dadacorn.app.
The Dadacorn app
What we collect
Nothing. The app has no sign-in and no advertising, includes no analytics or tracking libraries, and sends no personal information to us or to anyone else. Games are played entirely between the devices at your table, without the internet.
What the app keeps on your device
To avoid asking the same questions twice, the app stores the following on your device only:
- the device name you choose (for example "Sam's Phone");
- your case thickness, if you enter one;
- your camera's calibration: a few numbers describing how its lens sits, never pictures;
- a random install ID that lets the devices at your table recognise each other if a connection drops;
- your settings.
Deleting the app deletes all of it.
Camera
When you set up a table, each device's front camera looks at the ceiling to work out where the devices sit relative to each other. The images are processed on the device. While the table is being set up, devices also send ceiling details, and some ceiling images, directly to the device hosting the table so it can line everyone up. These are held in memory only, are not saved, and never leave the devices at your table. Point the cameras at the ceiling and keep faces out of view, as the app asks.
Bluetooth and local network
Dadacorn uses Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi when it's available, to find and connect to nearby devices running Dadacorn. While a table is open, nearby Dadacorn devices can see its device name. During play, devices exchange game data and device measurements (such as screen size) with each other. None of it goes through our servers or the internet.
Permissions

On Android 12 and earlier, Android requires the location permission for an app to scan for Bluetooth devices or set up a direct Wi-Fi connection, so Dadacorn asks for it there. Newer Android versions ask for "Nearby devices" instead. Dadacorn never reads or stores your location.
Purchases
If Dadacorn offers in-app purchases, they are handled by Apple's App Store or Google Play under their terms and privacy policies. We never receive your payment details.
This website
Server logs
Like most websites, our server records each request: your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We use these logs only to keep the site running and secure, and they are deleted after about two weeks.
Analytics and cookies
With your consent, we use Google Analytics to count visits and learn which pages are useful. It sets
cookies (named _ga and _ga_<id>) and sends Google details such as the pages you
view, your approximate location derived from your IP address, and your device and browser type. We don't use
it for advertising or share it with advertisers. If you decline, Google Analytics is not loaded at all. You
can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Google's
handling of this data is described in its privacy
policy.
The site remembers your cookie choice in your browser's local storage. It sets no other cookies.
Emailing us
If you email us, we keep your message and address to answer you, and delete them when they are no longer needed.
Who we share information with
We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. The only third parties involved are our website host (Amazon Web Services), Google Analytics if you consent, and our email provider for messages you send us.
Children
Dadacorn is made for families and groups. The app collects no personal information from anyone, children included. The website is not directed at children under 13 and collects analytics only with consent. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or state laws such as California's), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to its use. Because the app sends us nothing, the only information we could hold is website data and emails. To make a request, email support@dadacorn.app. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If Dadacorn adds online features, such as downloadable content or game updates, we will update this policy before they are released, and change the date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
